Fun & Adventure

Spending time at The Palm Orchard is not your average vacation – it’s an experience.  A place where you can challenge yourself with a surfing lesson or a painting class from a visiting artist or simply relax on your patio and read that book you’ve wanted to read while watching the myriad bird life and whales spouting off the coast.

The Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Cortez, the desert landscape; all are a vast playground for those that love adventure.

Beaches

San Pedrito Beach borders 500 meters of the Palm Orchard property. This quiet, expansive beach has a popular surf break at its north point. Other local beaches include Cerritos, a popular swimming and surfing spot; Las Palmas, a tranquil, secluded beach; and La Pastora, another popular surf break north of Todos Santos.

Desert and Mountains

Todos Santos offers a variety of mountain biking and hiking trails. Hire a guide for an overnight camping and hiking trip to El Pichacho, the highest peak of the granite mountains of the Sierra de la Laguna that frame the horizon behind the Palm Orchard. This magnificent area was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1994. Hike or ride a mountain bike on trails that wind through several ecosystems from sea level to the highest peak at 7,000 feet. Pass through dry oak forests, pine-oak woods and oases with palms and “guerivos” transforming the landscape and climate until you find yourself in an oak forest on a lakebed that you never imagined existed.
